Hi, I'm Eitan Bergman

Municipal Councillor · Political Scientist · Community Leader

Born in Liège, I am a Belgian political scientist specialising in international relations, with a focus on peace, security, and conflict studies. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), and I completed a programme in American Politics at the Université de Montréal (UdeM).

Engaged in both politics and civil society, I have been an elected member of the Municipal Council of Forest (Brussels) since October 2024, where I will serve until 2030 under the MR + DéFI list. I also work as a Press Officer for the Mouvement Réformateur (MR) at the Brussels Parliament.

Deeply involved in Belgian and European Jewish communal life, I serve as Vice-President of the Coordinating Committee of Jewish Organisations in Belgium (CCOJB), the Belgian section of the World Jewish Congress (WJC) and the European Jewish Congress (EJC).

From 2022 to 2025, I served as Executive Director of the European Union of Jewish Students (EUJS), the umbrella organisation representing Jewish student unions in 36 European countries and an official partner of the European Commission. I also worked for nearly three years at the European Jewish Congress (EJC).

In 2021, I joined the World Jewish Congress Jewish Diplomatic Corps. In 2025, I became a Board Member of AJC ACCESS Europe.

Passionate about politics and international affairs, I am a strong advocate for human rights, democracy, and freedom. I am fluent in French, English, and Hebrew.
